2018 Council of Members

In 2018, the IAPB Council will be held in Hyderabad, India. Our local hosts are L.V. Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI), who are celebrating the 20th anniversary of ICARE (International Centre for Advancement of Rural Eye Care).

We are expecting 400 delegates during 15-16 September, to celebrate the progress that has been made in India and across the South East Asia Region. We will also be looking ahead at the challenges that eye health faces, not just in the region but across the globe.

Hyderabad is a city of two halves, the Old City is steeped in history, bustling with people and hosts ancient relics and the New City, dubbed “Cyberabad” which is full of commerce, Hi-tech in nature and cosmopolitan.

Our host city offers fantastic opportunities for visitors to explore both of its magnificent centres, and we’re excited to be in the innovative city for our Council of Members meeting. Find out more about the city, hotels, and travel and tour opportunities.

Eye Health Heroes 2018

Sponsor the next generation of Eye Health Heroes

This year we encourage IAPB member organisations to nominate an Eye Health Hero from anywhere across the globe!

Since 2013, we have honoured 95 “Eye Health Heroes”; pioneers and rising stars in their field within the eye health sector.

This year there is a twist… we want nominated Eye Health Heroes to host a session during CoM, each will have an opportunity to present for five minutes to delegates on a subject of their choosing, in a rapid fire style! Which means presenting and then answering questions.

The deadline for nominations is Friday, 20th July 2018.

For queries contact efoote@iapb.org or communications@iapb.org.

Marketplace

Opportunities for exhibitors and sponsors

Interested in engaging and showcasing your innovations with over 400 delegates from across the eye health sector? You need a space at our marketplace.
The Marketplace forms the social hub of the CoM, by exhibiting your work in the region and popular innovations you will have a chance to interact and engage with delegates during breaks.

Increase your profile with our delegates! Before a break in the programme you’ll have a chance to address the audience and ask them to join you at the social hub.

Contact efoote@iapb.org for more details.
